From their beginnings in the 1930’s and now part of the VAG group Volkswagen have grown to be one of the world’s largest car manufacturers. Initially focusing on affordable family cars including the iconic Beetle all that changed in 1976 with the launch of the Golf/Rabbit Mk1 GTI one of the first hot hatches and a real game changer. Following on from the GTI’s immense success the early 2000’s saw the launch of the first of their high-performance R models the Golf 4 R32. It was only natural that one of the very first performance exhausts Scorpion produced was for the GTI back in the early nineties and they’ve continued to be one of our most popular models to date.

Cat/GPF-Back System:

Our expert technicians have developed a high-performance 70mm/2.75" Cat/GPF-back system — designed to fit models both with and without a GPF — featuring dual offset 90mm tailpipes. This system is engineered specifically for Volkswagen Polo GTI models. Explore the specifications and available options below!

This exhaust is available in two options: resonated, which includes a centre silencer to reduce drone and provide a more refined sound; or non-resonated, which removes the original silencer for a louder, more aggressive tone.

Once installed, the acoustically tuned silencers — featuring specialised, unique internals (on systems equipped with mid-silencers or backboxes) — and precision CNC mandrel-bent pipework enable the exhaust system to expel engine gases more efficiently. This results in enhanced power delivery, sharper throttle response, and reduced curb weight, thanks to the full stainless-steel construction. Designed for durability, our system offers exceptional longevity, even in the harshest conditions.

Tailpipe Styles:

Ascari: Our premium sport option, available exclusively in a matte carbon finish, highlights the distinctive sporty carbon weave. Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.

Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.

Tailpipe Finishes:

Polished: Premium T304 stainless steel polished trims undergo a meticulous multi-step buffing process, resulting in a long-lasting, mirror-like finish that stays shining. (Available for Daytona trim only.)

Black Ceramic: The matte black finish provides a stealthy, modern look. The tailpipes undergo a specialised coating process, ensuring a durable and flawless finish. (Available for Daytona trim only.)

OEM Resonator Delete:

What are the benefits of a resonator delete? A resonator delete allows you to retain your standard back box for a stealthy aesthetic while enhancing your exhaust sound. While it doesn’t offer the full benefits of a complete performance exhaust system, it removes the factory-fitted resonator, which is designed to mute the exhaust tone. This upgrade delivers a more aggressive sound, slight weight reduction, and potential performance gains. (Fits the OEM back box and/or rear section only.)

Exhaust Tunnel Brace:

Want to tighten your grip on the road? Scorpion’s lightweight aluminium chassis braces tick all the boxes. Manufactured as a single piece, they ensure a high-strength connection under load. Each brace is powder-coated in black and etched with the Scorpion mark for a premium finish.

Our underbody bracing reduces performance loss caused by chassis flex during hard braking or cornering. The result? Enhanced body rigidity and a more connected, responsive feel on the road. (Compatible with both Scorpion and OEM pipework.)
