From their beginnings in the 1930’s and now part of the VAG group Volkswagen have grown to be one of the world’s largest car manufacturers. Initially focusing on affordable family cars including the iconic Beetle all that changed in 1976 with the launch of the Golf/Rabbit Mk1 GTI one of the first hot hatches and a real game changer. Following on from the GTI’s immense success the early 2000’s saw the launch of the first of their high-performance R models the Golf 4 R32. It was only natural that one of the very first performance exhausts Scorpion produced was for the GTI back in the early nineties and they’ve continued to be one of our most popular models to date.

Cat-Back Systems:

Our expert technicians have developed a range of performance exhaust systems, including a 76mm/3” Cat-back, and a 76mm/3” Predator Cat-back, both are offered with twin 100mm tailpipes. Each designed specifically for the Volkswagen MK6 Golf GTI Edition 35 model. Take a closer look at the specifications and available options below!

These exhausts are available in two options: resonated (fitted with a centre silencer to help reduce drone and provide a more refined sound) or non-resonated (which removes the original silencer for a louder sound).

76mm/3” Predator Cat-back: What is a Predator system? The Predator system removes the rear silencers entirely, making it our most extreme option in terms of sound. Designed to deliver maximum volume and an aggressive tone. (For off-road use only.)

Once installed, the acoustically tuned silencers (if applicable) and precision CNC mandrel-bent pipework allow the freer-flowing Cat-back systems to efficiently expel exhaust gases. This enhances power delivery, sharpens throttle response, and reduces overall curb weight for improved performance.

Tailpipe Styles:

Ascari: Our premium sport option, available exclusively in a matte carbon finish, highlights the distinctive sporty carbon weave. Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.

Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.

Tailpipe Finishes:

Polished: Premium T304 stainless steel polished trims undergo a meticulous multi-step buffing process, resulting in a long-lasting, mirror-like finish that stays shining. (Available for Daytona trim only.)

Black Ceramic: The matte black finish provides a stealthy, modern look. The tailpipes undergo a specialised coating process, ensuring a durable and flawless finish. (Available for Daytona trim only.)

OEM Resonator Delete:

What are the benefits of a resonator delete? Retain your standard back box for a stealthy aesthetic while enhancing your exhaust sound. Though a resonator delete won’t provide the full benefits of a complete performance exhaust system, it removes the factory resonator designed to mute your exhaust. This upgrade delivers a more aggressive tone, a slight weight reduction, and potential performance gains. (Fits the OEM back box and/or rear section only.)

Downpipes:

Ready to push the limits? We’re offering high-flow downpipes for those seeking superior tuning potential; whether on the dyno or the track. Scorpion’s advanced downpipe technology delivers unrivalled engine output.

What are the benefits of installing? Increased horsepower (with a supporting remap), improved gas flow, and an enhanced exhaust sound, resulting in an overall audible volume boost! Opt for the 200-cell sport catalyst for significantly better flow compared to OEM or choose the unrestricted de-cat option for maximum performance gains. (For motorsport use only.)

Exhaust Tunnel Brace:

Want to tighten your grip on the road? Scorpion’s lightweight aluminium chassis braces tick all the boxes. The single-piece manufacturing process ensures a high-strength connection under load. Braces are powder-coated black and etched with the Scorpion mark.

Our underbody bracing reduces performance loss due to chassis twist during hard braking or cornering. Enhanced body rigidity translates to a more direct feel with the road surface. (Fits both the Scorpion and OEM pipework.)
